Over the course of a couple of months, I've learned about the cycle of life, time, and the process of dairy farming. I’ve gained a new respect for those who have worked on the farm for generations. It started with my curiosity about where the products we consume come from and this never-ending cycle of production and consumption.

By documenting the process of production and acknowledging the history of the place and its traditions. I photographed both the remnants of past practices and updated technology.

By presenting large-scale prints, the farm and inhabitants are monumentalized giving access to details that describe the physicality of the place. The closeness and the confrontation of the photographs ask the viewer to consider their own consumption while recognizing the labor and complexities of these practices.
